全球最有guts的五位歌手_Jim Morrison篇

大家都曉得，我的見識淺薄、知道的歌手不多。儘管如此，若硬要我從中圈選出最有膽量的五個人的話（嘿！我可不是開玩笑耶！故請勿將本文與某篇刻正廣為流傳的戲謔文相提並論喔！），則美國六零年代末到七零年代初的樂團The Doors的主唱Jim Morrison肯定榜上有名。他的事蹟本身就是個傳奇，後來還有被人拍成電影，有興趣的人可以去找來看。

在介紹其到底多有guts之前，首先讓我們欣賞一下其專輯中幾首老少咸宜的歌曲。

Morrison的guts表現在他的歌曲創作及即興演唱上，其中被人津津樂道的包括有專輯「The Doors」中的「The End」。這首曲子有很多版本，因為Morrison總是會隨著演唱當時的心情、靈感、環境而變換歌詞。不過其中的伊底帕斯式主題才是重點。雖然美國在六七零年代盛行弗洛伊德的理論、而且也進入了性解放的時代，但要將那種「殺父娶母」之慾望赤裸裸地唱出來，仍需要很大的guts才行。據說，當Morrison首次在其樂團駐唱的Pub裡首次演唱這首曲子時，馬上就被Pub老闆開除。由於他們那時已拿到唱片公司的合約，所以並不影響其財源。只不過，若該樂團要在電視媒體裡演出，則Morrison仍還不能真正地暢(唱)所欲言，所以我們才可以看到該曲目如下的電視「鎖碼」版本。

韓德爾_Ariodante

我曾介紹過一位台灣假聲男高音歌手馬稚凱演唱「Love of My Life」。雖然我不認識他，但是昨天本尊特地來我這個避難所留言，告知在八月底到九月初將在台灣巡迴演出（宣傳海報請參考這裡），所以我也就在此順便幫人家打廣告一下囉！

由於其演唱的曲目裡有韓德爾歌劇詠嘆調與二重唱選粹，讓我回想起前年有個朋友請我去慕尼黑歌劇院觀賞韓德爾（Georg Friedrich Händel, 1685-1759）的一齣歌劇，所以我也趕快趁現在還對當時的場景稍有記憶時把感想草記下來，否則恐怕很快就會被我給淡忘掉。

猶記得第一次真正接觸到韓德爾的音樂是在高中之時。我之所以強調「真正接觸」，是因為雖然我之前就曾在電視、廣播裡聽過其諸多樂曲的片段，但卻從未完完整整地聽過其任何一齣曲目。至於我那時真正第一次從頭到尾聽完的，乃是他在1741年夏季創作完成、1742年四月才首演的清唱剧（Oratorio）《彌賽亞（Messiah）》。印象裡，整個曲目總共錄成三卷錄音卡帶；至於是誰唱的，根本就不曾去注意過。只記得當時聽得很過癮，從頭到尾毫無冷場。另外一個相關的插曲就是，我在考大學那一年（也就是台灣之某鄰國發生著名的大規模學生抗議活動的那年）把那三捲錄音帶借給一個在Ｋ書中心認識的朋友聽。多年後，在我快取得（還是已經拿到了？）碩士學位時，有一次在Ｘ大校園跟他偶遇，而我那時幾乎都要記不得他了。後來一聊之下，才知道他這段期間曾到德國唸過書、此刻則剛剛考進Ｘ大的音樂學研究所碩士班。他還跟我說，當年我借他的那三捲錄音帶帶給他頗大的震撼！（至於我後來到德國唸書時竟巧遇到一位曾跟他在Freiburg認識的某國德文系留學生，則又是另一段軼事了）

回到正題。我今天要談的是韓德爾的歌劇「Ariodante」。在講述故事之前，當然是先聽聽歌曲！

我之所以會去聽這齣歌劇，是因為有位保加利亞朋友請我跟我室友一起去，以作為耶誕節禮物。而之所以會挑這齣去看，則又是因為該劇是由保加利亞裔次女高音（Mezzosopran）Vesselina Kasarova擔任演出劇中男主角關係，也就是說，單純是基於「讓我們多了解一下保加利亞的人事物」這個理由而已。

眼尖的人這時可能會插嘴說道：「等一等！男主角？」沒錯！我沒說錯。因為這「Ariodante」可是韓德爾當初（1735年）為閹人歌手卡瑞斯提尼（Giovanni Carestini）所量身創作的曲目，只不過現代早已找不到閹人歌手來演唱，所以只好找其他「品種」的歌手來替代之。

我在本避難所裡曾介紹過閹人歌手，其因為身體發育異常的關係而有特別大的肺活量，能夠一氣到底唱出長的樂句。正因為如此，閹人歌手在炫燿其歌唱技巧時就能比一般歌手更加地遊刃有餘。所以現代的歌手若能夠演唱那些專為閹人歌手而寫的曲子的話，肯定得真有兩把刷子才行。
